WEBINAR-Tour the New Healthy Food Access Portal
Overview
This interactive webinar, hosted by PolicyLink, The Food Trust, and Reinvestment Fund, tours the newly redesigned Healthy Food Access Portal. Building upon the feedback and input of stakeholders, the refreshed site features new and refined resources to better support advocates, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to take their work – whether a local policy campaign or the launch of a local healthy food business – to the next level. The Portal team will highlight key features, including updated navigation, new content for advocates and entrepreneurs, and interactive tools to find policy information, available funding opportunities, and other resources in your state.
CED and CED-HFFI Funding Opportunity Announcements
Overview
This session presented information about the CED and CED-HFFI grant competition, based on the CED and CED-HFFI funding opportunity announcements (FOAs). It outlined the programs’ purposes and strategies, provided tips and tools for submitting an application for CED or CED-HFFI funding, and identified key application criteria and requirements.
Community Economic Development (CED) Program Overview Webinar
Overview
This session provided prospective CED applicants with an overview of the CED program, including the program’s mission and objectives, organizations eligible to apply, the program’s target population, and examples of successful CED projects. The webinar also provided a summary of funding requirements and estimated award amounts.
WEBINAR-Grocery Store and Retailer Scorecard
Overview
The “Grocery Store and Retailer Scorecard” is modeled on a successful and similar self-assessment scorecard developed for school lunchrooms by the Cornell University Food and Brand Lab and adopted by the United States Department of Agriculture. This webinar presents the “Grocery Store and Retailer Scorecard” tool and features speakers that highlight the behavioral economics that informed the tool’s development and the research conducted with grocers on feasibility and retailer adoption.

Let's Move And Convergence Web Learning Session
Overview
Let's Move! is a comprehensive initiative launched by First Lady Michelle Obama, dedicated to solving the problem of obesity within a generation by creating a healthy start for children; empowering parents and caregivers; providing healthy food in schools; improving access to healthy, affordable foods; and increasing physical activity. This webinar is an opportunity to learn about the Let’s Move initiative from the Executive Director of the national Let’s Move! initiative, Robin Schepper and about local efforts of LiveWell Colorado, a regional convergence partner, from its vice president Lisa Walvoord. It gave participants the opportunity to share their efforts in advancing place-based, multi-field, equity-focused policy and environmental change across the country; discussed how these efforts can be better connected; and where potential opportunities to work together at local, regional, and national levels.

Innovation Fund Information Webinar - June
Overview
This informational webinar will provide details about the Innovation Fund application process. The Convergence Partnership invites local and regional philanthropic institutions to submit proposals that will support the launch of new grant making initiatives designed to enhance the built environment and/or expand healthy food access in low-income communities and communities of color in order to improve health and promote equity. The Innovation Fund provides 50 percent matching dollars, up to $200,000 total, for a three-year period. The goal is to engage philanthropic institutions in creating robust and sustainable support for multi-field, policy and environmental change efforts emphasizing equity and community partnership.
